Fun at the Kew Horticultural Society Show

Update 30/08/2017

We were incredibly lucky to have glorious weather for the Kew Horticultural Flower & Produce Show on Kew Green last Saturday, now in its 73rd year.

Congratulations to all those hard working volunteers from the Kew Horticultural Society.

Here are a few photos of the day.

Exclusive Members only walk with Tony Kirkham, Head of the Aboretum.

We were thrilled when Tony agreed to conduct a tour of the wonderful Aboretum at Kew Gardens.

Tony Kirkham joined the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in London as a diploma student in 1978 and was appointed Head of Kew’s Arboretum in 2001. Walking around the Arboretum, Tony confirms there is always something to learn whilst looking after the 14,000 trees in the Gardens.

Fortunately, the weather was very kind to us and Tony delighted us with many tales, including one of collecting seeds more than 30 years ago that grew into the huge trees he still nurtures today.
