We were delighted to have the chance to offer our Members the opportunity to enjoy an early Sunday morning tour of the London Wetland Centre in Barnes.

The volunteer guides, Mike, who is also a Kew Society members, and Angela, led a fascinating tour and we learnt about otters, water birds, ducks, dragonflies, water voles and lapwings - mixed in with snippets about planting, wildlife and their habitats. It was a perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful open-air walkways among the lakes and pools of this 105 acre site, perfect for spotting birds and other wildlife residents. We were also blessed with the most beautiful weather.

If you missed our tour we heartily recommend that you take some time to pop along. It is a wonderful facility right on our doorstep.
