A new exhibition of “fresh” plans to replace the Watermans Art Centre in Brentford with 193 flats is on Friday July 7th between 4pm & 7pm and on Saturday July 8th between 11am & 3pm at St Paul’s Church, St Paul’s Road, Brentford TW8 0PN. The Plans are to relocate the Watermans Art Centre to the old Police Station underneath a further 105 flats.

An application has not yet been submitted for the re-development of this waterside site but we were pleased to see that local MP Ruth Cadbury has raised concerns with Hounslow Council.

Update 27/10/2016

Developers London Green are holding public exhibitions on Wednesday  2nd  November from 16.00-20.00 and on Saturday 5th November from 10.30-16.00 at the Watermans Art Centre showing their proposals for moving the Arts Centre from its current location on the river to a new position at the old police station in Half Acre.Project team members will be available to answer questions.

Flats will be built on both the old police station site and the current Watermans and Max Factor buildings as part of a project that will see approximately 300 flats being across both sites.

Update 29/03/2015

Hounslow Council  have confirmed that a new site has been found for the Watermans art centre which will move to the old police station in Brentford. The current site will be redeveloped for a marina and housing. We will be keeping an eye on what is proposed in this sensitive riverside location.
