Kew Gardens Station Pedestrian accessibility improvements

Pedestrian accessibility improvements

Update 27/10/2017

Richmond Council have started a public consultation on plans to improve the way finding from Kew Gardens station to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Separate but related plans are being developed to improve signage which we hope to see soon.

We were pleased that Richmond Council engaged with us before the consultation was made public but disappointed that our comments do not appear to have been taken on board. You may want to consider the comments we made here: Pedestrian accessibility improvements

Following a fascinating presentation by Professor Roger Mason earlier this year, the Kew Society have invited Roger to present an update to our members on this incredibly important subject.

The meeting will provide an update of recent air pollution activities in Kew, including the "Clear Air for Schools" project in the summer and the Kew Society member's project investigating pollution levels outside their houses.

It will also briefly review recent national and local government policies which impact on our future air quality including the London Mayor's "Transport Strategy", his "Environment Strategy", and Richmond Council's Air Quality Action Plan 2017-2022".

Tickets available on the door – All welcome.
